Don’t Worry, Be Happy

Don’t Worry, Be Happy was originally sung by Bobby McFerrin in September of 1988.  It became the first a cappella song to stay on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks, and quickly became an American anthem of sorts.  No wonder this song has been recreated in so many ways!  The title, Don’t Worry, Be Happy, is taken from a famous quote from Meher Baba.  Below are just a few of the many different ways this song has been recreated, from commercials, to international translations, to concerts.

Are there any other versions of this song that you enjoy?  Which of these is your favorite? Why?  Isn’t it interesting how one song can be transformed so many ways?
